Invitation to participate in the “ASEAN Students Contest on Information Security 2021”
Dear Sir/Madam,
The ASEAN Students Contest on Information Security (ASCIS) is Capture the Flag (CTF) contest for ASEAN students to enhance knowledge, skills and experience as well as teamwork in the field of cybersecurity. The contest is an important activity of the annual event “Vietnam Information Security Day” organized by Vietnam Information Security Association (VNISA) under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) of Viet Nam.
This year marked the 14th time the contest is organized for Vietnamese students and the third time its eligibility is expanded to include students from ASEAN region.
We would like to invite higher-education institutions (in ASEAN) appoint teams of students competition the contest (up to 04 students a team). This year’s contest includes three rounds in total:
Starting Round: Online CTF (Jeopardy) on October 9th, 2021.
Qualifying Round: Online CTF (Jeopardy) on October 16th, 2021.
Final Round: Onsite CTF (Attack & Defense) with teams from Vietnam and online CTF (Attack & Defense) with teams from ASEAN Member States. The expected date of this round is November 13th, 2021. In case teams from Vietnam could not able onsite participation (due to COVID-19, etc…), online participation is alternatively possible.
