The Closing and Awarding ceremony of “Pupil Contest on Information Security 2023”
On May 25th, 2023 , the Vietnam Information Security Association – VNISA cooperated with related units to held the Closing and Awarding ceremony of “Pupil Contest on Information Security 2023” at Hanoi.
This is the second year the contest is held in order to provide knowledge and skills to prevent the risk of insecurity, child abuse and skills to behave in online environment. the online contest ‘‘Pupils with Information Security 2023’’ which is sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Information and Communications along with the Ministry of Labour, War invalid and Social Affairs. At the event, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung – Chairman of VNISA, fomer Deputy Leader of MIC Emphasizing that we want to affirm that protecting children against risks and pitfalls on the Internet and creating a safe and healthy online environment for them is the common responsibility of all of us, of the whole society.
According to a representative of the Organizing Committee, after 3 weeks of official competition on thihsattt.vn website, the “Pupil Contest on information security 2023” attracted 740,250 students from 5,417 secondary schools across the country. The results of the top 100 candidates based on scores and exam time are distributed in 41/63 localities. Ho Chi Minh City is the locality with the most students participating.
Within the framework of the event, agencies and units participating in the “Pupil on Information Security 2023” contest have pledged to join hands to take practical and effective actions to create a safe environment. for children in cyberspace. According to the commitment, 3 main contents will be focused by the units in the upcoming time, including participating in perfecting Vietnam’s legal document system on online child protection; cooperation, mobilizing the participation of society; propagate and promote awareness raising of online safety skills.
Also in the event, there was also a seminar with the theme: “Protecting children’s data and preventing harmful information in cyberspace: From policy, awareness to technology” with the sharing of experts representing organizations. In addition to the delegates attending in person, the closing ceremony and awarding ceremony also had online participation from the bridge points of the winning units and individuals.
