VNISA cooperates with JICA to organize an international workshop

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan friendship cooperation and the meeting of the ASEAN-Japan working group on information security in Hanoi in early August 2023, the Vietnam Information Security Association (VNISA) in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) (directly Japan Telecommunications Engineering and Consulting Service – JTEC) and National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity (NISC) organized a Workshop on security with the theme “Enhance cooperation, information sharing for Information Security and Cybersecurity for Organizations, Government and Enterprises” at Hotel Pan Pacific Hanoi on August 8th 2023.

The Workshop was attended by representatives of state management agencies on Information Security in Vietnam, Information Technology and Information Security enterprises of Vietnam and especially delegates from Japan and ASEAN (The Conference was included in the 2023 agenda of the ASEAN-Japan Working Group on Information Security in the Netherlands Internal). The Workshop was also connected via video conference with JICA’s experts in Japan.

At the Workshop, Mr. Junichi Sakaki, Counselor for International Strategy of NISC, affirmed that in implementing cybersecurity in Japan, the agency always enhances information sharing among government agencies and organizations. as well as agencies and businesses. Currently, Japan has developed and issued a joint action plan between government agencies and related organizations. Based on this action plan, the Central Agency for Cybersecurity Strategy issued a guideline for agencies and units.

At the seminar, enterprises such as FPT, Savis, Misa and CyRadar also shared their stories in their efforts to ensure information security for their customers, drills, human resource training and expanded information security cooperation.
