VNISA SIGNED COOPERATION AGREEMENT ON INFORMATION SECURITY TRAINING TO SERVE SCHEME 06

On the morning of January 12, the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement on training and fostering information security knowledge between the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order (Ministry of Public Security), Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Vietnam Information Security Association (VNISA) took place in Hanoi.

The signing ceremony was attended by Colonel Vu Van Tan, Deputy Director of the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order (C06) – Ministry of Public Security, Associate Professor. Huynh Quyet Thang – Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and Mr. Ngo Tuan Anh – Vice President of VNISA.

The cooperation agreement on Information Security training between VNISA, Hanoi University of Science and Technology and C06 is an important milestone to promote the equipping of basic information security skills, as well as raising awareness of officials and people about information security. Besides, the agreement also contributes to promoting the implementation of Scheme 06 in Vietnam in the upcoming period.

Notable contents of the agreement include:

– Cooperate in building and standardizing learning materials for information security training courses in general, focusing on 02 short-term training courses on information security including: (1) Advanced training course to raise awareness of digital space safety, and (2) Basic training course on digital space safety.

– Collaborate in building competency assessment frameworks, which grants certificates to students who participate and meet end-of-course assessment criteria.

– Coordinate the implementation of information security training courses for the community, especially officials, civil servants and public employees participating in the implementation of Scheme 06.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Colonel Vu Van Tan, Deputy Director of the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order, said that the MOOC platform with modern technology, AI face recognition system, online training platform will be easy to access, as well as saving time, cost, training location, and attracting a large number of participants. Using the online training platform of Hanoi University of Science and Technology will promote the advantages of modern technology and help a large number of officials and people access this training program.

Colonel Tan also expected that the cooperation between the three units will contribute to promoting safe and secure national digital transformation, avoiding loss and disclosure of personal information, and is expected to increase High level of knowledge to support the implementation of the Vietnamese Government’s Scheme 06 for officials, notaries and civil servants…

Associate Professor. Huynh Quyet Thang, Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, emphasized that opening and exploiting citizen identification data warehouses for state management can only be effective when every citizen is aware of information security.

“People’s understanding and sympathy about information security is very important. Therefore, building a lifelong learning society and learning courses for the community is a necessary need at this time.” said Professor Thang.

Speaking at the sidelines of the signing ceremony, Mr. Ngo Tuan Anh, Vice Chairman of VNISA, affirmed: ‘Strengthening training to develop information security human resources is one of VNISA’s important tasks. In addition to in-depth training courses on information security for experts, the Association has organized and coordinated courses to raise awareness about information security, and equip the community with basic information security knowledge”.

Previously, on December 8th, 2023 in Hanoi, VNISA coordinated with RMIT University (Australia) to organize the “Raising awareness of information security” training program to improve the quality of safe human resources for IT officers from a number of organizations, businesses, members and partners of VNISA.
